ePosters and Demos were brought to life at the European Conference for Technology Enhanced Learning (EC-TEL) through the use of Learning Toolbox. This year’s EC-TEL & DELFI conferences had to move online and the organisers were keen to keep the engagement and interactivity the community were used to in their face-to-face conferences. For the Posters and Demos sessions they achieved this through the use of Learning Toolbox.
The ePoster and Demo authors used Learning Toolbox to create/collate rich & engaging presentations of their work. They included within them short videos pitching their main ideas and encouraging delegates to find out more. Within the conference programme the ePosters were grouped in sessions addressing key conference themes. The ePosters and pitch videos were all available ahead of the conference, allowing delegates to find out more and identify those sessions that were of greatest interest to them. Within the live conference itself, delegates could then take part in their chosen sessions, meeting the authors and discussing the theme that their work addressed in more detail. These highly interactive and discursive sessions were very popular in the busy conference.
