Let’s fix networking – together! Version 1.0

Workshop at the ABPCO Learning Festival on 30th April

Everyone believes that networking is important at conferences, but many people also find it awkward, forced and difficult. Can we together come up with some new meeting design formats that would support networking in a more natural and welcoming way?

Together with members of the ABPCO Neurodiversity Diversity Working Group, we ran a workshop on this topic at the ABPCO Learning Festival in Nottingham.

This hands-on workshop explored how to design more neuroinclusive networking experiences using insights from new ABPCO research. Participants got the chance to get hands-on and creative, as they could use craft materials to explore and share their thoughts, as well as discussing them in small groups. It was great to hear the buzz of conversation and ideas in the room.

You can explore our workshop stack to find out how the session ran, contribute to the ABPCO research and see the answer boards produced by the participants.

Building on the work done in the ABPCO workshop, we will be running a MESA Campfire session at IMEX Frankfurt in May. This campfire will give you the chance to explore and build on the ideas that came out of a ABCPO workshop.

If you’re going to be at IMEX then make sure to come and join us on stand A430 at 11:30am on Thursday 21st May and get a glimpse of what to expect here!
